Cudy WR3000 Flash OpenWrt

IMPORTANT: This guide does NOT work with Cudy WR3000 v2 routers!

It is for the v1 version only. Do not follow this guide on v2 devices.

Cudy WR3000 (AX 3000) WLAN Access Point

Initial Setup (stock firmware -> OpenWrt snapshot)

  • Connect Cudy LAN1 to your laptop LAN port
  • Open http://192.168.10.1
  • Set admin password
  • Operating mode: WLAN access point (does not matter)
  • Advanced → System → Firmware → choose openwrt-mediatek-filogic-cudy_wr3000-v1-sysupgrade.bin

Router reboots, only power LED is on.

  • Connect via LAN (DHCP), open http://192.168.1.1/
  • OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r22906-c9cb6411c1 / LuCI Master git-23.158.78004-23a246e
  • System → Backup / Flash Firmware → choose openwrt-24.10.5-mediatek-filogic-cudy_wr3000-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
    Keep settings = NO

Router reboots again.

OpenWrt 24 Configuration

Set router password.

Example: configure as an additional access point

Network → Interfaces → LAN → Edit:

  • IP: 192.168.0.5
  • GW: 192.168.0.1
  • DHCP → General Setup: Ignore Interface: yes
  • IPv6 Settings: disable: RA-Service, DHCPv6-Service, NDP-Proxy
  • Save, Save & Apply

Network → Wireless:

  • Edit & Enable
